Like many events after Hurricane Irma, the Rev. Kenneth Blyth’s installation at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church was postponed.
He was approved for the role in July, and after the original installation date of Sept. 10 was moved, Blyth was finally installed as the church’s senior pastor on Nov. 5.
It seems it was worth the wait though. Blyth said that it was great being approved as senior pastor a few months ago, but it was even better being able to celebrate with church members both during and following his installation service on Sunday evening.
“It’s not just icing on the cake,” he said.
Blyth comes to St. Armands Key Lutheran Church from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando, where he had served as pastor since 2008.
