TOUGH BREAK
2:30 a.m. — 2100 block of Eighth Street
Property damage: A man reported that someone broke the window glass next to his front door. The man said that he heard glass breaking early in the morning, but he thought it was someone throwing a beer bottle in the street. It did not appear anyone had tried to unlock the window. The man needed a report to give to his landlord.

SUSPICIOUS SOLICITOR
10:42 a.m. — 1900 block of Morris Street
Suspicion: A woman told an officer that a man came by her home and was soliciting for a lawn clean-up service. When she told him no, the man left. The woman said she just wanted to notify law enforcement about the interaction.

THE FIX IS IN
1:31 p.m. — 3400 block of Serena Street
Dispute: A woman informed officers she was in a dispute with a man she hired to fix her TV in July. She said she gave the man $275 in cash to repair her TV. She said it was a verbal agreement, and she did not get a paper receipt for the transaction. She said it’s been more than two months since she hired the man, and he still has not fixed her TV. The man said the woman has not paid him, and he refused to fix her TV without getting paid. The man returned the woman’s TV, which was still not working. He said he would not give her a refund because he was never paid. Officers told the woman she would have to pursue the matter in civil court to settle the disputed payment.

WALLET INSPECTORS
5:30 p.m. — 700 block of John Ringling Boulevard
Lost/found property: A man told an officer that, sometime in the past four hours, he lost his wallet in his apartment. The man said he did not remember where he lost it, but he was sure it was in his apartment. The man said he has looked everywhere and has not been able to find it. The man said there is a nurse who comes to the apartment at night, but he does not suspect her of taking the wallet. Two staff members at the residential complex came in to help the man look for his wallet. The man said he would tell police if he found the wallet.
