East County High 5 Moments: 10.12.17

1 — Braden River High junior wide receiver Knowledge McDaniel had 217 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the Pirates' 31-24 win against Palmetto High on Oct. 6. 

2 — Former Lakewood Ranch High girls soccer player Gi Krstec, a freshman at the University of Maryland, scored her first collegiate goal in the Terrapins' 2-2 tie with the University of Wisconsin on Sept. 29. 

3 — Braden River sophomore swimmer Kate Walker won the girls 50 freestyle (25.47) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.50) at the Manatee County Championships on Oct. 4. 

4 — The Out-of-Door Academy senior boys golfer Max Coutsolioutsos (34) won medalist honors at ODA's nine-hole match against Sarasota Christian at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. The Thunder (154) also defeated the Blazers (174) as a team. 

5 — Braden River sophomore softball player Emma Anthony verbally committed to East Carolina University on Oct. 1.
