There was a lot to celebrate on Sept. 18 at Temple Emanu-El.
Congregants gathered to celebrate the beginning of the Temple Emanu-El's religious school year. Children greeted arriving vehicles with signs and cheers.
The celebration came a week late due to Hurricane Irma. However, as Rabbi Brenner Glickman greeted temple members on Sunday, he said they all had much to be grateful for.
"We just got postponed a week, but we are back and I cannot tell you how happy all of us are to see your beautiful faces here for a new year of religious school."
