The Baltimore Orioles are winding down their major league regular season, but the club's Fall Instructional League is just getting started.
The Orioles announced their initial league schedule in a release on Tuesday. The season runs from Sept. 23 - Oct. 10, and features four games at Ed Smith Stadium: Sept. 25 against Atlanta, Sept. 27 against Pittsburgh, Sept. 30 against the New York Yankees, and Oct. 3 against Tampa Bay. Those games are free and open to the public. Parking is available in the East Lot, also at no charge.
The full schedule is available at orioles.com/sarasota. Additional games are expected to be added later, the club said.
The Instructional League program focuses on specific individual development while providing additional playing time to accelerate a player’s progress through the minor league system, according to the release.
