Sarasota High 5 Moments: 09.21.17

1 — Sarasota High sophomore running back Brian Battie rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns in the Sailors’ 27-6 win against North Port High on Sept. 18.

2 — Former Riverview High running back Karan Higdon scored the University of Michigan’s only offensive touchdown in the Wolverines’ 29-13 win against Air Force on Sept. 16.

3 — The Cardinal Mooney boys golf team defeated The Out-of-Door Academy 146-169 on Sept. 19 at Laurel Oaks Country Club. Sophomore Noah Kumar shot a 33 to lead the Cougars.

4 — Sarasota High senior quarterback Tommie Battie IV completed all five of his passes for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Sailors’ 27-6 win against North Port High on Sept. 18.

5 — Sarasota High freshman girls golfer Lily Sikorski shot 43 to lead the Sailors in the team’s loss to Saint Stephen’s Episcopal and Braden River High on Sept.  19 at Waterlefe Golf Club. The Sailors shot 246 as a team.
