Sarasota High 5 Moments: 09.28.17

1 — Cardinal Mooney High senior running back Bryce Williams ran for 193 yards and two touchdowns Sept. 22 in the Cougars’ 22-7 win against Lemon Bay High.

2 — Sarasota’s Jesse Mizell won the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Gator Division tournament Sept. 23 on Lake Okeechobee with a two-day cumulative catch of 10 bass weighing 42 pounds, 12 ounces.

3 — Riverview High senior volleyball player Kayla Walker had 35 assists in the Rams’ three-set win (25-21, 25-16, 25-19) against Port Charlotte High Sept. 25.

4 — Riverview High freshman running back Michael Hayes had 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the Rams’ 44-0 win against Alonso High on Sept. 22.

5 — The Cardinal Mooney High boys golf team (146) defeated both Saint Stephen’s and Sarasota Christian Sept. 21 at Laurel Oak Country Club.
