Runs from 6-9 p.m. at Main Street at Lakewood Ranch. The Hydramatic will play soul music and a disc jockey will spin Top 100 tunes as well. Guests can purchase food and drink, visit vendor booths and enjoy other activities. Proceeds for the night benefit the Lakewood Ranch High School Band Boosters Association. FUNDRAISING KICKOFF

Begins at 6 p.m. at California Pizza Kitchen, 192 North Cattlemen Road, Unit No. 1, Sarasota. This kickoff event, presented by Sisterhood for Good, raises funds for a Lakewood Ranch Community Fund Giving Circle. A portion of food and drink purchases will go toward 2019 grants. LAPS FOR LIFE 5K

Begins at 8:30 a.m. at Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, this 5K raises money for Ultrasound Initiative Program at Sarasota’s My Choice Pregnancy Center. You can register as an individual or a team. Prizes will be awarded to the top runners in each age group, plus the highest-fundraising team and individual. CANCER FUNDRAISER

Runs from 2-6 p.m. at Naughty Monk Brewery, 2507 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Lakewood Ranch. Indigo CREW — Cancer Research Everybody Wins — will host a fundraiser for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer with a silent auction to raise money for breast cancer research. GRAN FONDO SARASOTA

Begins at 7 a.m. at Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota. This cycling event lets riders choose from a 100-, 66-, 33- or 8-mile course. The event is not timed. It raises money for the Team Tony Foundation, a peer-to-peer cancer support foundation. Registration costs vary from $25 - $148.50 depending on the course selected. PUMPKIN FESTIVAL
