Runaway Ruben

Twitter is the new lost-dog poster.

The town’s official social media account tweeted Aug. 16 about Ruben the Chihuahua, who ran away from his home Thursday night during one of the many recent storms.

Thanks to the eagle-eyed residents who helped bring him home, Ruben was safe at home before more than 12 hours passed, hopefully decompressing after his adventure. The town let its social media followers know when the found fellow was safe, quickly racking up “likes” on the post. Think of it as a heart-shaped sticker on the lost-dog poster of the internet age.
