Hurricane Dorian missed Florida, but the Bahamas were hit hard. If you can donate, now is the time to directly impact lives. Star Woods-Gordon, a native Bahamian whose brother still lives in the islands, is collecting anything and everything to send to the devastated island nation.
Two friends of hers in Fort Lauderdale have access to 25 planes to ferry supplies to the nation. Woods-Gordon will collect supplies including dry goods, clothes, diapers and checks to take to Fort Lauderdale. Those who can donate can drop things off at Temple Beth Israel, 567 Bay Isles Road.
