Hammerhead caught off Longboat

2020 jokes are just so easy to make. 

Then someone shows you a hammerhead shark caught recently just offshore Longboat Key. 

Fishing coach Steve Herich of Beach Fishing Adventures recently shared a photo of such a sea creature caught at night. A stingray was used for bait. 

"There's some huge sharks out there, people have no idea," Herich said. "There are some sea monsters out there not far out." 

The reinforce the message, Herich, who fishes from the shore, was out with a client and saw a six-foot shark last week.
