Manatee County just released good news for those who were issued a red-light ticket from its red-light camera program.

You don't have to pay it!

Any red-light camera tickets issued in Manatee County after Oct. 15 are no longer valid. The county announced Oct. 25 it has ended its red-light camera program with the expiration of its contract with Conduent.

A press release issued by the county said: "Conduent will no longer process payments and all mailings have stopped. Any Notice of Violation that has been issued by Conduent is null and void. The vendor is no longer answering calls to the number listed on the back of the Notices of Violation."

Manatee County noted that the closing of its red-light camera program has no affect on any red-light violation tickets issued by law enforcement.

Anyone who has questions about the end of the program or notices they might have received can call Manatee County Code Enforcement at 748-2071.
