Hundreds gathered for the annual affair benefiting the nonprofit's programs for young women in the community. The event also recognized a number of local figures including Renee Phinney, Cynthia Howard, Charlotte Bauman, Claudia Cardillo and Sofia Zavala for their work in the community.
The program started with a lively drum line number from Girls Inc. members and staff that marched through the auditorium and guests took their seats.
Board chair Chris Pinckney joined co-chairwomen Kay Mathers and LaShawn Frost in delivering opening remarks before guests heard from president and CEO Angie Stringer.
The luncheon's honorees were later presented with their awards.
