Motorcyclist, 76, injured in two-vehicle crash on SR 70 in Bradenton

A 76-year-old Bradenton man was transported to Blake Hospital Thursday morning with serious injuries after the motorcycle he was driving hit a car that attempted a U-turn into his path on State Road 70.

The car was being driven by a 91-year-old Bradenton man who had been driving eastbound on S.R. 70 at approximately 9:40 a.m. when he attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection of S.R. 70 and 47th Street East.

The Florida Highway Patrol report said the 91-year-old turned into the motorcycle's path. The 91-year-old man suffered no injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
