Santa is getting ready to make his way down the chimney, and these East County elementary kindergartners, first graders, second graders and third graders had to make their wishes known.

Whether it's a gift for them or a present for a family member or friend, these students can't wait to see what's under their tree.

Teachers from B.D. Gullett, Gene Witt and Robert E. Willis elementary schools were willing to spread some holiday cheer by sharing a sampling of their students' letters to Santa.

Dear Santa,

I love christmas very much! Do you like christmas very much? It is a pleasure to write to you. Today was a very nice day. How is your day been going today. I bet it is great. For this year I want a diary, barbie dolls, and a very beautiful flower please. My favorite color is pink. What is your favorite color? I think your favorite color is red and white. Anyways, write back soon! I don't mind waiting. Wish you luck!!!

Dear Santa,

Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye! So, let me tell you some of what I want. One thing I really want is the 1989 Eras tour t-shirt. I really want it because I'm a big Swiftie and 1989 is one of my favorite albums. Another thing I really want are tree hut sugar scrubs (peppermint specifically). I really want it because I need more for my body wash. Lastly, I want you to find toys my brother will love. Make sure cocoa the elf doesn't T.P. our tree again.
