Photo by Harry SayerThe Junior League of Sarasota celebrated 20 years of its Legacy Luncheon fundraiser with a emerald event at Michael's On East on Feb. 2.
Guests met for a lengthy champagne reception in the Michael's courtyard before it was time to fill into the ballroom space to celebrate the organization's many years of volunteer programs and initiatives to develop the potential of women.
Legacy Luncheon chairwoman Melissa Hembree welcomed the crowd before president Linday Nock took to the stage to thank the audience as well.
Guests also heard from Georgia Pellegrini, host of PBS show "Modern Pioneering" and the event's guest speaker.
Junior League staff later led a raffle drawing for a custom emerald necklace.
The event ended with closing remarks by Hembree.
