Daytime lane closure in effect Monday, Tuesday at Gulfstream roundabout

Ongoing construction at the new roundabout at Gulfstream Avenue will close a northbound lane on U.S. 41.

One northbound lane on U.S. 41 near the roundabout at Gulfstream Avenue will be closed 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for drainage construction.

Motorists should expect daytime traffic delays Monday, Feb. 13, and Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the area of the roundabout at U.S. 41 and Gulfstream Avenue.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation Southwest Florida division, a lane closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

Closed will be the northbound outside lane of U.S. 41 between Gulfstream Avenue and Fruitville Road. The lane closure is necessary as crews install underground piping for storm drainage on U.S. 41 at First Street.
