Caldwell Banker Realty issued a release Friday saying Mixon Fruit Farms and its residence home have gone on the market for $15.8 million.

The now landmark business opened in 1939. The 39-acre farm includes a residence, a store, a warehouse, a barn, a pavilion and pastures, according to the release.

It is located at 2525 27th St. E., Bradenton.

Coldwell Banker Realty's Selina Bradley is handling the sale.

Dean and Janet Mixon announced their intention to sell the business and the land in October. They said it is their intention to close the business in 2024 if the land sells.

"Anyone who knows farmers knows they love their land," Janet Mixon said to the Observer in October.

Among upcoming events at Mixon Fruit Farms are a March 24 murder mystery luncheon, a March 25 craft fair and Easter Bunny event and a May 13 banquet celebration to honor Mixon Fruit Farms existing for 84 years in the Bradenton community.
