SPD investigates auto burglaries in north Sarasota

Sarasota police are investigating an outbreak of auto burglaries involving Kia vehicles in the area of Sarasota Avenue at 40th Street on Monday morning, July 17. Police suspect one group of perpetrators is responsible. 

Detectives have learned that one person who was walking in the area when the crimes occurred was pushed to the ground by the suspects and was assaulted. The victim has minor injuries.
