Sarasota man arrested on child pornography charges

A Sarasota man has been arrested on 40 counts of possession of child pornography. 

On Monday, July 17, Sarasota police executed a search warrant for the residence of Michael Sosa, 51, where detectives seized his laptop computer. A forensic exam revealed more than 100 images of child pornography and in excess of 500 images of child erotica on the computer.  

Sosa was arrested by Sarasota police on Thursday, July 20, and is being held at the Sarasota County Jail on a $600,000 bond.
