SPD investigates overnight shooting near St. Armands Circle

Two adult victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

9 a.m. July 24

Details are scarce as the Sarasota Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting near St. Armands Circle. Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, the shooting occurred near the intersection of Jackson Drive and South Washington Drive.

SPD confirmed on social media there is an active investigation, but no additional information was given, other than to say, “The public is not believed to be in any danger.”
