A contemporary home designed by modern Sarasota architect Guy Peterson recently sold for $7.48 million, the highest sale in the Longboat-Sarasota area this year.
The 5,039-square-foot house, built in 2001 on 0.31 acres at 1247 Westway Drive, features plenty of outdoor spaces water views of New Pass and the Gulf of Mexico. A front courtyard has a pool with a waterfall, a spa and a shell patio alongside tropical landscaping. A 924-square-foot second-floor terrace overlooks the courtyard. The property is mostly surrounded by an 8-foot-high privacy wall and includes a seawall and dock.
