Clothing store, Italian restaurant join lineup at Waterside Place

Black Dog and Osteria 500 have been announced to open at the Lakewood Ranch hub.

Lakewood Ranch Commercial announced Tuesday that Black Dog, a store that sells casual wear and gifts, has signed a lease with Waterside Place, the 36-acre entertainment and restaurant hub.

The store, which started in Martha's Vineyard according to a Lakewood Ranch Commercial release, has only one other Florida location, at St. Armand's Circle. No date has been set for its opening.

The release also noted that Osteria 500, an Italian restaurant, will open in May. Osteria 500 will join a lineup that already includes Korê Steakhouse and cocktail lounge and Good Liquid Brewing.

Other coming openings include Shack (yoga studio), Capstan Financial, Marmalade (home decor, apparel, gifts), Modish Salon, Good Liquid Distilling Co. and Shore Rejuvenation (spa).

By the end of the year, Lakewood Ranch Commercial expects most its Waterside Place restaurant lineup to be in place Agave Bandido, Deep Lagoon, and Duck Donuts plan openings in the third and fourth quarters of 2023.

Already open at Waterside Place in the first quarter of this year are Man Cave (luxury barber shop), Monkee's (boutique), Florida Proisions Co. (retail), the John Cannon Model Experience Center, M/I Homes Design, M/I Homes Financial, M/I Homes Title Agency, and Forked, a breakfast/lunch restaurant.

“Waterside Place has truly become a hub of activity for Lakewood Ranch,” said Kirk Boylston, the president of Lakewood Ranch Commercial, in a release. “The majority of the project is leased with a large number of business openings planned for 2023, which will provide many new dining and shopping options for our guests."
