An apparent murder-suicide at a Sarasota County veterinarian office claimed the lives of two women late Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 5:11 p.m. the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office received reports of shots fired at KindVet of Sarasota Urgent Care, located at 3900 Clark Road.

The suspect was pronounced deceased on the scene, and the victim later died from her wounds at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Although no identities have been officially released, former KindVet employee Morgan Kronstadt wrote a post on the business’s Facebook page, citing bullying by management, concluding that the owners of the business “forced this event to happen.”

All posts have since been removed from the media account.

In a news release, the Sheriff’s Office said it is aware of the social media post made prior to the shooting, saying it is “potentially connected” and that the investigation is ongoing.
