The networking lunch was the first event new Marketing and Media Relations Manager Felicia McDermott planned for the chamber. All the attendees raved about the open atmosphere of everyone at the event and the beauty of Zota.
“I really enjoyed planning it and getting to know so many new members,” said McDermott. “I am looking forward to more networking events in the future.”
President Kim Verreault and her team have kept themselves busy reaching out to businesses in the area and getting new members, which is one of her biggest priorities since she started.
Over 30 new members have joined since October 2023. New members included the Humane Society of Sarasota County and the Illyrian Symphony Orchestra. This lunch was the first networking event with the chamber for many attendees.
“This is the biggest crowd that we've had since I have started here,” said Verreault. “There was actually a waitlist to attend, which is great feedback for us.”
