A home on Bird Key tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Flamingo FLCO LLC sold the home at 469 E. Royal Flamingo Drive to David and Karen Behrens, of Sarasota, for $7,999,000. Built in 1977, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 3,279 square feet of living area. It sold for $3.3 million in 2023.
Kevin and Kim Costello sold their home at 3551 Fair Oaks Lane to John and Marlene Schiech, of Timonium, Maryland, for $2.3 million. Built in 1995, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,966 square feet of living area. It sold for $1.25 million in 2007.
F. Paul Hurwitz and Barry Hurwitz, trustees, sold the Unit 15-B condominium at 2525 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Peter and Carroll Kennedy, of Greenwich, Connecticut, for $1.45 million. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,491 square feet of living area. It sold for $375,000 in 1998.
