From hurricane damage to government legal fees, here are some of the most notable figures in 2024.


$11.5 million

The purchase agreement amount for New College to acquire 30.9 acres from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. That sale never went through, as the FAA was likely to deny permission.


4.3 million

The number of passengers served in 2023 at SRQ Airport. That was up 12% from 2022 and 218% since 2018. A similar passenger count is anticipated for 2024.
