A boil water advisory is in place for residents on Putting Green Lane in Country Club Shores.

Reports of no water in Country Club Shores around the areas of Bogey Lane and Putting Green Lane on Feb. 8 led to town Public Works staff's latest advisory update.

It was reported in email updates from Public Works to town officials that construction crews with Spectrum were working underground and accidentally impacted the water main.

As of 9:26 a.m., town utilities crew were working alongside Spectrum to repair the water main.

The boil water advisory for Putting Green Lane remains in effect until satisfactory samples are obtained, according to an email from Alexandra Lowe-Mains with Longboat Key Public Works.

The sampling process typically takes at least 48 hours. Signs and door hangers will alert residents of the advisory, and removal of the signs will signify the lifting of the advisory, according to the email.
