Carmela Picardi age 93 died peacefully on February 11, 2024, at Manatee Memorial Hospital. 

Born on July 30, 1930, in Isernia, Italy immigrated to America in 1948. She resided in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York before moving to Longboat Key, Florida in 1998. 

Employed at the Colony Beach and Tennis Resort as a seamstress until its closure in 2010.  Using her skills, she continued to help many Longboat Key and Sarasota residents look impeccable at countless Sarasota galas and venues with her incredible seamstress talents. 

Loving mother to Luigia, Aida, Maria and Joseph will be forever loved and missed by her family, children, grandchildren, Dixie Mae and Rivers. 

A visitation was held at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N Orange Ave Sarasota, Fl 34236 on February 14, 2024, between the hours of 6 and 8pm.

Mass services were at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3930 17th St, Sarasota, FL 34235 at 11:30am.
