Photo by Nancy GuthTo celebrated its 65th anniversary, Asolo Repertory Theatre pulled out all the stops at its annual gala Feb. 24 at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota.
Following the cocktail reception, 380 guests were welcomed to a ballroom dressed up in hues of blue in line with the event's "We Got Rhythm" sapphire theme. A seated dinner and paddle raise followed, with the evening ending in live music and dancing. The night raised more than 700,000, the most successful event ever for the organization.
Founded in 1959, Asolo Rep produces world-class theater in Sarasota and also hosts Florida State University's MFA program through its Conservatory for Actor Training.
