Teen injured in second Sarasota shooting in 4 days

The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a Monday evening shooting that occurred in the 1600 block of 29th Street shortly after 6:15 p.m. 

One victim, a teenage boy, was airlifted to All Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim is in stable condition and details remain limited.

The shooting is the second in Sarasota in four days. On Friday, Jan. 19, a shooting at 11:30 a.m. at Sarasota Shopping Center on North Beneva Road left one person dead. That investigation remains ongoing as well.
