The Tidewell Foundation’s crystal anniversary of the Signature Luncheon will take place on March 1, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. This year’s keynote speaker will be health advocate; famed movie, TV, and Broadway actress; five-time Golden Globe nominee; New York Times bestselling author; and memory expert – Marilu Henner.
In 2019 Henner became a spokesperson for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Henner has said that she believes hospice care is “one of the most important things that we can do for our loved ones at the end of life.”
As one of their biggest fundraisers each year, all funds raised during the Signature Luncheon will go to support the free patient and community care services the Tidewell Foundation funds.
Tidewell Hospice, a not-for-profit organization, offers care provided by expert care teams wherever patients call home – a private residence, assisted living care facility, nursing home, hospital, or Tidewell care facility. Serving Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties, the Tidewell Foundation provides the philanthropic support needed to ensure all who need the world-class care of Tidewell Hospice in our community can receive it, regardless of their ability to pay. Annually, the Tidewell Foundation ensures nearly 1,000 patients receive financial assistance to receive hospice care.
The Signature Luncheon will feature a 3-course meal at The Ritz-Carlton, a talk by Marilu Henner, and two luxury chance drawings. One chance drawing winner will receive a two-night stay for two in a deluxe guest room and two 50-minute spa treatments at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. The other winner will receive blooms for a year from Suncoast Florist, a dinner gift certificate, chocolates, and a case of wine from TheWineToBuy.com.
