Age: 74

Current occupation: Manatee County property appraiser

How long have you been a resident of Manatee County? 51 years

Why are you running for election?

I have a commitment to the citizens of Manatee County and the employees of the property appraiser’s office to continue the public service and professionalism that have been instilled in the office for the past 31 years.

What qualifies you as a better candidate than your opponent?

I have a degree in real estate from Florida State University. I am a former Senior Residential Appraiser member of the Appraisal Institute. I am a certified Florida appraiser. I have 31 years of experience as property appraiser. I can honestly say that I have never met my opponent and do not know anything about his qualifications.

What needs to change in the appraiser’s office to improve its operations?

Nothing. We will continue to improve efficiencies through technology.

What will be your other priorities?

See above.

What do you see as the top challenges ahead for the property appraiser’s office as Manatee continues to grow in population, and how would you address them if elected?

We will continue to improve our efficiencies as new technology becomes available.

If money were no object, what would you do to improve the property appraiser’s operations?

With it being taxpayer dollars, money is an object. We will continue to run the office as effectively and efficiently as possible.
