What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a revolutionary dental treatment that proved its efficiency over alternative orthodontic treatment options in most cases. Teeth alignment of crowded teeth will serve not only as the look improvement but serves holistic dental health objectives. Achieving a beautiful smile is the cherry on top of all the benefits of proper teeth alignment.
With rapid technological advancement, a choice of clear aligners against old-fashioned metal wires and braces seems the obvious step forward towards efficiency and comfort. It is the most advanced and most trusted system in clear removable aligners that eliminates all discomfort associated with braces, reduces the need for frequent dentist visits, and provides flexibility and comfort for a patient of any age.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign aligners are designed specifically to fit your teeth arch and gradually apply gentle pressure to align teeth with the desired result. Invisalign technology utilizes a highly-calibrated patented digital treatment system starting with the 3D scanning (ITero) to treatment progress digital mockups, and manufacturing.
How long does it take to see results with Invisalign?
One of the most significant advantages of Invisalign treatment is that you can preview all the changes that your smile will undergo in 3D even before the treatment process starts. Typically, Invisalign treatment lasts between 6 and 12 months but can go as long as 24 months, depending on the necessary change.
Invisalign Cost: Your Custom Treatment Plan
Suppose Invisalign is the right option for you. In that case, we will proceed by performing a thorough scan of your teeth that allows us to capture a precise 3D image of your teeth using the innovative iTero® digital scanning system. No messy and uncomfortable impressions are required. Then we will use specialized software to map out a precise treatment plan (including the exact movements of every tooth), calculate the number of aligners and treatment stages, and determine how long your treatment will take. You will even get to see how your teeth will move with each Invisalign aligner and preview all improvements to your smile in 3D. Think of it as a step-by-step road map to your new smile.
Your Invisalign Clear Aligners
Your custom-made aligners will be made in the world’s largest 3D printing facility from Invisalign’s proprietary SmartTrack® material and promptly shipped to our dental office. They are virtually invisible, so most people will not even notice you are wearing them.
We recommend wearing your Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day to achieve the best results. In case an important job interview, a class reunion, or even casual dinners with friends happen, just take off your aligners to eat and drink, then rinse or brush your teeth before putting aligners on.
Your Progress Towards a New Confident Smile
As you wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into their proper place as prescribed by your dentist.
With Invisalign treatment, you are never on your own. Our dentists at Modern Smile Design will supervise every step of your treatment process and will be available to answer any questions at scheduled checkups about every six weeks. Yes, it is your progress, but we want to be a part of celebrating it at every stage.

Do I need Braces if My Teeth Look Straight?
Even if the appearance of your smile looks good, you might need to improve your chewing function. Schedule a complimentary ortho consultation with Dr. Dontsova to evaluate all functional aspects of your smile to avoid possible teeth moving, grinding, teeth overload, asymmetry, jaw joints, and facial muscles by harmonizing your occlusion (or bite), etc. Orthodontic treatment, such as braces or Invisalign, can also help to move teeth that need to be restored with crowns, bridges, veneers, and direct composites (fillings) into positions where the dentist can preserve as much of the healthy tooth structure as possible.
Am I too old for orthodontics?
No. The answer is that simple. We have patients who are in their 50s, 60s, and even 80s, and beyond that have benefited greatly from orthodontic treatment. Of course, children receiving early treatment can achieve results in less time. It is never too late.
