Photo by Jay HeaterAlthough East County's Jessica McCord dressed up like Elastigirl from "The Incredibles" during the Kiddie Academy Halloween parade on Oct. 31, she wasn't about to fool Woody or the Princess.
McCord's kids — her son Emmett was Woody and her daughter Jade was a princess — quickly noticed that their mom was handing out candy during the trunk or treat portion of the event. Like several other parents who were dressed in costume while handing out candy, the little ones didn't want to leave mom or dad to get back into line.
Even so, after a kiss and a hug, it was back to the parade route for the kids.
Kiddie Academy hosted the event following the school day on Halloween, releasing the kids one class at a time to show off their costumes.
