Architecture Sarasota hosts its annual MOD Weekend honoring the city's architectural heritage through events that include tours, gatherings and lectures. Haven’t heard about eco hip-hop? Find out firsthand what it’s all about at the SunHAT Eco-Fest party. Headlining the evening is DJ Cavem, who coined the term eco-hip-hop in 2007. Since then, he’s spread the word about climate change, food justice and plant-based foods through rap, with appearances at The White House, The Rachael Ray Show and others. The SunHAT Eco Fest continues through Monday.

The Ringling's SunHAT Eco Fest continues with Compagnie Zolobe performance of "Sakasaka," which means “thirsty” in Malagasy. Using just a mop, bench and buckets, three clowns will have you in stitches with their efforts to drink a cup of water. You’ll be laughing so hard that the issue of water scarcity will seep in as if by osmosis. The SunHAT Eco Fest continues through Sunday.

Under the direction of maestro Troy Quinn, the Venice Symphony starts its season with “Instrumental Influencers, “ with timeless works from Beethoven, Vivaldi, Hadyn and Brahms.
