Braden River Middle principal named Manatee County's Principal of the Year

The School District of Manatee County has named Kimberlain Zenon, the principal at Braden River Middle School, as this year's Principal of the Year.

Zenon has served as principal of Braden River Middle since 2019. 

The Principal of the Year is given to an exemplary school administrator for their contributions to the principal's school and community. The Principal and Assistant Principal Achievement Awards for Outstanding Leadership honors leaders who have led initiatives to increase student performance, promote safe learning environments and establish partnerships with parents and community members. 

Zenon will be eligible for the Florida Department of Education's Principal of the Year program.

Zenon previously served as an assistant principal at Electa Arcotte Lee Middle School from 2016 to 2019 after serving as an assistant principal at Braden River Middle from 2012 to 2016. 

Before becoming assistant principal, Zenon was a science teacher at Braden River Middle from 1996 to 2012.
