Sarasota County has restored water service to the Fisherman's Haven community. This area, along with Sanderling Road, are still under a boil water notice.

All other areas on Siesta Key and Casey Key are no longer under a boil water notice.

For residents under a boil water notice, all tap water intended for drinking, preparation of food, washing of food utensils, or first aidshould be boile before using.

Please bring your water to a rolling boil for one minute to disinfect your water and destroy any harmful microorganisms. Residents will be notified by an automated call when the boil water advisory has been canceled.

Beaches still closed

All Sarasota County beach parks, amenities and concessions remain closed until conditions improve to allow for response and recovery operations.

Anyone not involved in recovery efforts on any of the barrier islands are asked to stay away to reduce traffic and give space to those who are supporting recovery efforts.

Lifeguards are not present on Sarasota County-owned and/or operated beaches until conditions allow for safe access and use.

Parking garage to be available to Lido, Bird Key residents

The City of Sarasota is offering residents of St. Armands, Lido and Bird Key parking permits to use the St. Armands Garage during October.

The permits, which will cost $100, are for residents only. Parking will be limited to the third and fourth floors in the St. Armands Garage, 57 N. Adams Dr.

The permits are being offered to ease on-street congestion and to allow space to accommodate emergency and solid waste/storm debris vehicles.

Parking permit applications must be submitted in-person to the Parking Division, 1575 2nd Street. Proof of residency is required, such as a lease agreement, driver’s license, utility bill or vehicle registration. The application can be downloaded here.

Questions about St. Armands Garage parking permits for St. Armands, Lido and Bird Key residents should be directed to the Parking Division by phone at 941-263-6475 or email at [email protected].
