Following days of inspections in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, the Florida Department of Transportation has opened the westbound span of Little Ringling Bridge, also known as Coon Key Bridge.

For now, all four lanes of the causeway between the mainland and St. Armands Key are open. According to Sarasota Deputy City Manager Patrick Robinson, he anticipates FDOT to close the eastbound span later Sunday to inspect that side of the twin bridge.
