Lakewood Ranch High (2-1) won 41-3 against Braden River High (0-3) at home. Lakewood Ranch junior running back Colton Dempsey ran for three touchdowns, senior Cullen McRae II ran for two touchdowns and sophomore receiver Trenton Huffman ran for a 76-yard touchdown on an option play with junior quarterback Liam Fernandez. The win was Lakewood Ranch's first over Braden River since 2013. The Mustangs will next hit the road to play Southeast High (2-1) at 7 p.m. Sept. 13, while the Pirates will next host Bayshore High (0-3) at 7 p.m. Sept. 13. 

The Out-of-Door Academy (4-0) won 12-2 against Saint Stephen's Episcopal (0-4) on the road. Senior quarterback Josey Rubinstein had a 12-yard touchdown run. Senior defensive back Carson Fisher had an interception return for a touchdown. ODA will next host Sarasota Christian (2-2) at 7 p.m. Sept. 13. 

Parrish Community High (3-0) won 21-7 over Palm Harbor University High at home. Bulls junior Keyon Maxwell had three touchdown runs. The Bulls will next host Palmetto High (3-0) at 7 p.m. Sept. 13. 


Sarasota

Cardinal Mooney High (3-0) won 51-12 against Chamberlain High (2-1) on the road. The Cougars ran for six touchdowns, three from sophomore running back Connail Jackson. The Cougars will next hit the road to play Leto High (0-2) at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13. 

Booker High (2-1) won 57-0 against Sarasota High (1-2) at home. Booker freshman Tyree Mannings Jr. had rushing touchdowns of 71 and 56 yards. Senior Rashawn Peterson had a 55-yard touchdown run. The Tornadoes will next host Carrollwood Day School (1-2) at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13, while the Sailors will play Gibbs High (1-2) at home at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13. 

Riverview High (1-2) lost 41-21 to Palmetto High (3-0) on the road. Junior quarterback Anthony Miller threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to senior tight end Jaden Key and a 15-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Toryeon James. Junior running back Isaiah Belt had a 15-yard touchdown run. The Rams will next host Berkeley Prep (1-2) at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13. 

Sarasota Christian (2-2) lost 27-6 to Southwest Florida Christian (3-0) on the road.  The Blazers will next play on the road at The Out-of-Door Academy (4-0) at 7 p.m Sept. 13.
