Clark Road traffic slowed as diesel fuel spill is cleaned up

Two lanes of eastbound Clark Road remain closed after an incident earlier Tuesday in which diesel fuel spilled from a vehicle.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, the inside two of three lanes near Honore Avenue are blocked. The incident was initially reported around 11:15 a.m.

Traffic in the area is slow and has been backed up as far west as McIntosh Road.
