Impact100 SRQ raises $864,000 for grants to nonprofits

Members of Impact100 SRQ together raised $864,000 in their latest fundraising drive, money awarded this year in increments of $108,000 each to nonprofits benefitting five areas of philanthropy.

The final figure was announced at the group’s Annual Big Reveal Event on Wednesday at Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. Nonprofits in Sarasota and Manatee counties are now invited to begin the application process for grants in these areas:

• Arts, culture and history
• Education
• Environment, recreation and animal welfare
• Family
• Health and wellness

"Our members are committed to supporting the nonprofits that are making a meaningful difference in our community," said Impact100 SRQ President Pam Kandziora. "These grants not only provide critical funding but also amplify the visibility of the incredible work being done."

Including this year’s fundraising total, Impact100 SRQ will have awarded 38 grants totaling more than $4.1 million since 2018.

Impact100 SRQ is one of more than 60 chapters nationwide. Launched in 2018, the organization is made up of women who each donate $1,000 annually, then award grants of at least $100,000.
