Drivers using Interstate-75 in Manatee County during the early morning hours next week should be aware of construction disruptions, the Florida Department of Transportation has announced.
Motorists should expect delays and are urged to exercise caution and follow posted detour signage in the work zone.
During the week of Jan. 20, crews will close I-75 between State Road 64 (exit 220) and U.S. 301 (exit 224) during overnight hours on the following days:
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour route during the I-75 northbound closures: Exit I-75 northbound at State Road 64 (Exit 220), continue on State Road 64 to U.S. 41, turning right onto U.S. 41 to U.S. 301, turning right onto U.S. 301 northbound, then returning to I-75 northbound.
For the I-75 southbound closure, motorists traveling southbound on I-75 should exit I-75 southbound at U.S. 301 (exit 224), continue on U.S. 301 to U.S. 41, turning left on U.S. 41 to State Road 64, turning left on State Road 64, then returning to I-75 southbound.
