Town of Longboat Key receives communication excellence awards

The Florida Municipal Communicators Association recognized the town of Longboat Key and Susan Phillips, assistant to the town manager and public information officer, for exemplary work in local government communications.

It’s the town’s first communications excellence award, according to a press release.

The town received a Certificate of Excellence in Government Communications and Phillips received a Certificate of Excellence – Local Government Communicator.

Phillips is one of 18 individuals in Florida recognized for the award, according to Town Manager Howard Tipton.
