Another class of seniors from Booker High School moved their tassels from right to left during the commencement ceremony Saturday morning at Robarts Arena.
Principal Rachel Shelley felt a special connection to the class of 2015 because it is the first that she has served as principal with through all four years. Shelley gave recognition to graduates and their post-high school plans by asking students to stand if they were going to serve in the military, go into the workforce, if they are graduating with a trade skill or will be attending college.
“Most of you have heard Booker High School students will graduate college- and career-ready and become productive members of our society," Shelley said to graduates during the commencement ceremony. "You are college and career ready. Now become productive members of our society”
