For Lakewood Ranch High School freshman Peter Fisichella’s first homecoming dance, he made a trip to Neverland and didn’t have any regrets, even though he flew solo.
“It’s been really cool,” Fisichella said. “I really like the music and the DJ.”
Lakewood students celebrated the culmination of a week of homecoming festivities with the announcement of the homecoming court before their “Journey to Neverland”-themed homecoming dance Sept. 23, at the school. Seniors Andrew Dean and Colby Lindblad were named homecoming king and queen, respectively.
At the dance, students danced, munched on snacks and enjoyed time with their peers.
The Mustangs defeated Springstead High 23-21 Sept. 22. Students showed their school spirit despite weather-related delays that delayed the football game and postponed the announcement of the homecoming to Sept. 23.
