The Library Foundation for Sarasota County hosted its biggest Author Luncheon yet Feb. 11 at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.
Over 650 guests packed into the auditorium to hear author David Brooks speak. Brooks is a political and cultural commentator who writes for the New York Times. He also wrote "The Road to Character" which was on sale at the luncheon.
The luncheon began in the Art Center with a VIP reception with Brooks. Guests were able to meet him at the reception as well as get a photo with him and a signed copy of his book. Afterwards, everyone gathered in the auditorium to take their seats for the program.
While guests enjoyed a salmon lunch, Brooks entertained with a witty presentation and thought-provoking information.
