The Lakewood Ranch High girls soccer team shut out rival Braden River 4-0 in a Class 4A-District 11 semifinal match Jan. 16.
Lindsay Martinez notched her first two-goal match of the season to lead the way for the Lady Mustangs. Angelica Rego and Talia Falco each scored a goal. Goalkeeper Alex Latham had two saves.
The Lady Mustangs fired off 17 shots - seven of which were on goal - while Braden River had five shots. Braden River goalkeeper Katerina Elliott had three saves.
With the win, Lakewood will host No. 2 seed Venice in the district championship Jan. 18. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
