The Braden River High girls soccer team defeated Charlotte 3-1 in a Class 4A-District 11 quarterfinal Jan. 14.
Carly Provan scored three minutes into the match to give the host Lady Pirates a 1-0 lead.
Fifth-seeded Charlotte tied the game 1-1 in the 17th minute.
Braden River regained the lead on Abigail Holmes' goal in the 54th minute.
Braden River goalkeeper Katerina Elliott made several key saves in the final five minutes and Provan added a goal with five seconds remaining in stoppage time to preserve the win for the Lady Pirates.
With the win, Braden River will travel to top-seed Lakewood Ranch for a district semifinal Jan. 16. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
